President Mirziyoyev Extends Heartfelt Eid al-Adha Greetings to People of Uzbekistan
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to all citizens of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the holy holiday of Eid al-Adha. In his address, President Mirziyoyev highlighted the profound significance of this holiday, which epitomizes mercy, generosity, and humanism, underscoring its importance in the life of the new Uzbekistan.
President Mirziyoyev emphasized that Eid al-Adha fosters an atmosphere of peace, friendship, and cohesion within mahallas and families. The holiday promotes care for the elderly, youth, and women, and supports low-income families. He expressed his gratitude to the Almighty for the opportunity to celebrate this day in peace and harmony with the Uzbek people.
The President also highlighted the recent successes in reviving spiritual values and creating conditions for the free exercise of religious rites, such as Hajj and Umrah. Notable achievements include the establishment of international scientific centers dedicated to Imam Bukhari, Imam Termezi, and Imam Maturidi, the transformation of memorial complexes, and the construction of majestic mosques.
Over the past seven years, more than 60,000 Muslims from Uzbekistan have completed the Hajj, with another 15,000 compatriots making the pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina this year. President Mirziyoyev wished these pilgrims a successful completion of their rituals and a safe return to their homeland.
In his address, the President extended congratulations and best wishes for health, happiness, and success to compatriots abroad and Muslim believers in other countries. He expressed hope for an end to wars and conflicts and the establishment of peace on Earth.
President Mirziyoyev emphasized that the new Uzbekistan represents a new life, development, and a happy future. He called on everyone to remain united and determined to continue the ongoing reforms, which aim to achieve the great goal of building a prosperous Uzbekistan.
