President Mirziyoyev Receives Russian Minister of Internal Affairs

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, welcomed the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, who is currently on a working visit to Uzbekistan.

At the outset of the meeting, President Mirziyoyev extended his heartfelt condolences and expressed his support to the families and loved ones of the law enforcement officers who tragically lost their lives in the recent terrorist attack in Dagestan.

During the discussions, the parties focused on the practical implementation of agreements previously established at the highest levels of government. Key issues addressed included enhancing cooperation in combating terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and organized crime. Additionally, significant emphasis was placed on collaboration in cyber security and digital forensics.

Both sides also dedicated considerable attention to refining the efficiency of cooperation mechanisms in the realm of migration policy. The meeting underscored the mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and ensuring the safety and security of both nations.
