President of South Korea, Russian FM depart from Bali

Nusa Dua, The Gulf Observer: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol departed from Nusa Dua, Bali, before the G20 Summit wrapped up.

The United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, and Chief of FIFA Gianni Infantino, who was present as an invitee, also returned to their respective countries.

“They left last night,” spokesperson for the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry Teuku Faizasyah stated in between the G20 Summit activities here, Wednesday.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden and several other G20 member state leaders are scheduled to depart from Bali on Wednesday.

Indonesia, which holds the G20 presidency in 2022, hosts the Group of Twenty Summit on December 15-16 in Bali.

On the first day of the Summit, leaders of member countries and international organizations deliberated on the issue of energy and food security as well as health issues.

A dinner and cultural night reception were also held at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park complexes.

Meanwhile, on the second day of the summit, they are scheduled to conduct mangrove planting in the Ngurah Rai Community Forest Park followed by a discussion on digital transformation.

The summit will conclude with the G20 presidency handover from Indonesia to India, which will hold the presidency for the year of 2023.
