President of Turkmenistan Congratulates XXV Conference of Humanitarian Association of Turkmens Worldwide
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: In a message addressed to the members of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly congratulated participants on the commencement of the XXV Conference of the Association. The conference takes place during a year dedicated to the “Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy,” marked by both national and international events, and on the eve of Turkmenistan’s Independence Day.
President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the conference’s role in uniting Turkmens around the globe and fostering a sense of national pride. “This conference, held at a high organizational level, will play a significant role in strengthening our ties and enhancing friendly relations,” he remarked. He highlighted that the ongoing transformations within the homeland are being actively supported by Turkmens worldwide, who contribute to numerous events and initiatives for peace, prosperity, and mutual understanding.
The President outlined that one of the key foreign policy objectives of independent and neutral Turkmenistan is to strengthen comprehensive relations with Turkmens living abroad. In his message, President Berdimuhamedov underlined the country’s commitment to advancing political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian ties with foreign countries for the sake of global peace.
The Humanitarian Association, established in 1991, was praised for its role in promoting the rich culture, history, literature, and language of the Turkmen people. “The Association has become a prestigious organization uniting Turkmens worldwide and plays an essential role in strengthening international relations,” President Berdimuhamedov noted, adding that the Association has contributed significantly to the promotion of Turkmen customs, traditions, and values.
As Turkmenistan celebrates its 33rd anniversary of independence, President Berdimuhamedov reflected on the significant milestones achieved under the banner of state reforms and noble initiatives. He highlighted that the country is confidently moving toward high goals, based on the principles that “The State is for the People!” and “The Motherland is only a Motherland with its People!”
In the message, special attention was given to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy, whose legacy continues to inspire the nation. In honor of this significant anniversary and as part of Turkmenistan’s Independence Day celebrations, a new secondary school named after Magtymguly, with a capacity of 540 students, was ceremoniously opened in the Khatlon region of Tajikistan. The school opening was accompanied by the presentation of Bilimli laptops to students, underscoring Turkmenistan’s commitment to education and humanitarian principles.
President Berdimuhamedov concluded by congratulating the members of the Humanitarian Association on the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and the start of the XXV Conference. He expressed his wishes for their continued success in promoting the global reputation and glory of the homeland.
