Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for stronger interaction between Iran and Oman, emphasizing the Islamic Republic’s commitment to fostering peace and security in the region and among Islamic nations.

During a meeting with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi in Tehran on Monday, President Pezeshkian lauded the enduring friendship between Iran and Oman, underscoring the critical importance of advancing bilateral relations.

Highlighting ongoing efforts, the Iranian president noted that steps are being taken to expedite the execution of existing agreements and to negotiate new ones, reflecting both nations’ commitment to deeper cooperation.

President Pezeshkian reiterated that his administration’s foreign policy prioritizes strong relations with neighboring and Islamic countries, with Oman holding a distinguished position in this framework.

Addressing regional tensions, Pezeshkian expressed concern over the Israeli regime’s destabilizing activities, stating, “It is unacceptable and undesirable for Muslim nations to be in discord while a criminal regime like the Zionist regime exploits this situation to harm them.”

In response, Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi reaffirmed the Sultan of Oman’s dedication to strengthening ties with Iran, citing the deep-rooted and historic relationship between the two nations as a foundation for continued collaboration.
