President Pezeshkian Hails Strengthening Strategic Ties with Oman

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Masoud Pezeshkian has reaffirmed the strength and strategic depth of relations between Iran and Oman, expressing confidence that bilateral cooperation will continue to advance with “strength, stability, and foresight.”
The President made the remarks on Tuesday during the ceremony to receive the credentials of Sayyid Yaarub bin Qahtan bin Nasser Albusaidi, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Pezeshkian underscored that interactions and cooperation between the two nations are currently “at the highest level,” emphasising Tehran’s commitment to further deepening and expanding these ties.
“We emphasize the need to deepen, strengthen, and expand this cooperation more than ever,” he said.
Referring to his recent official visit to Muscat, Pezeshkian noted that the trip resulted in “very important and constructive agreements” between the two countries.
“We are committed to the implementation of these agreements and will continuously follow up on them,” he stated. “We hope you will also pursue this process with great diligence so that we can achieve tangible results and mutual benefits for both countries and their peoples.”
The President added that the arrival of Ambassador Albusaidi in Tehran could help accelerate joint initiatives, expressing hope that his presence would “facilitate the further expansion and deepening of our relations.”
For his part, Ambassador Albusaidi conveyed Oman’s strong commitment to its longstanding partnership with Iran.
“The Sultan of Oman places great emphasis on maintaining strong relations with Iran and wishes for tranquility, stability, peace, and progress for this friendly, neighboring, and brotherly country,” he said.
He added that Oman recognizes the importance and regional role of the Islamic Republic and remains focused on “comprehensively strengthening” bilateral ties.
The exchanges underscore the continued momentum in Iran–Oman relations, long characterized by mutual respect, stability, and cooperation across political, economic, and regional domains.
