Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed deep appreciation to all members of the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), stating that their cooperation will enable the administration to address many of the country’s pressing challenges.

Speaking on Saturday at a ceremony marking the 45th anniversary of ACECR’s establishment, President Pezeshkian said, “My hope lies solely with the ACECR members and scholars who care about the country, and the administration will welcome them with open arms.”

The President began the event by paying tribute to the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, particularly those who lost their lives during the 12-day war imposed by the Israeli regime. He praised the courage and sacrifices of the Iranian people in resisting enemy plots since the victory of the Revolution, noting that over 20,000 devoted volunteers had been martyred in attempts to derail the country’s progress.

Pezeshkian stressed that the country’s future depends on its scholars, stating, “This country can only be saved with the help of scholars who know, can, and have the will to solve the homeland’s problems.” He identified the services of intellectuals as the fundamental solution for driving national change, pointing to issues such as the water crisis and land subsidence as consequences of imbalanced resource management under the guise of development.

Turning to regional affairs, the President denounced the continuous hostility of enemies toward Iran and its neighbors, citing ongoing atrocities in Gaza as a stark example. He criticized those who accuse resistance movements of terrorism while supplying arms and resources to the Israeli regime, which he described as committing crimes against innocent women and children in violation of international law.

Pezeshkian also condemned biased media narratives that distort the reality of the conflict, highlighting the hypocrisy of accusing resistance forces of human rights violations while ignoring the blockade of food, water, and medicine in Gaza. “Where are the international human rights organizations? Do they truly understand and comprehend human rights?” he questioned.

The President reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to work closely with ACECR scholars and all national intellectuals to address the country’s critical challenges and ensure its continued resilience and development.
