President Pezeshkian Reaffirms Iran’s Commitment to Martyr Soleimani’s Path on Sixth Anniversary of His Death

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Masoud Pezeshkian has reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to continuing the path, character, and ideals of Martyr Qassem Soleimani, emphasizing national unity and steadfastness against external pressures.
Speaking on Thursday evening at a ceremony commemorating the sixth anniversary of General Soleimani’s martyrdom, President Pezeshkian described the former commander of Iran’s elite Quds Force as an unparalleled role model in ethics, honesty, courage, justice, and the defense of oppressed peoples.
“What has brought the Iranian people together today is the path they must follow—a path of martyrs, especially that of Martyr Soleimani,” Pezeshkian stated, underlining the necessity of maintaining unity, national cohesion, and obedience to the Leader. He stressed that only through internal consensus and solidarity within the Islamic world can nations stand against oppressive and tyrannical powers.
Recalling General Soleimani’s assassination in a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad in January 2020, President Pezeshkian warned Iran’s adversaries against relying on threats of death or assassination, asserting that such tactics will not weaken the nation’s resolve.
“Our treacherous and oppressive enemies should not think they can frighten us with martyrdom,” he said, affirming that Iran will continue the path of its revered martyrs with perseverance and sustained efforts to address the needs and challenges facing ordinary citizens.
