President Pezeshkian Reaffirms Iran’s Commitment to Peace and Defense of National Security

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Masoud Pezeshkian has reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran’s unwavering commitment to peace and diplomacy, while emphasizing the nation’s firm resolve to defend its sovereignty and people against any form of aggression.
In a message shared on the social media platform X on Wednesday, President Pezeshkian praised Iran’s cultural richness and natural beauty, highlighting the country’s long-standing tradition of humanitarian values. His post was accompanied by a video montage showcasing Iran’s historical landmarks and scenic landscapes.
“Iran is full of beauty. Friendship abounds in every corner of it. We have always sought to build bridges with other nations, not walls,” the president wrote. “We are advocates of peace, enemies of war, and at the same time, resolute in defending Iran’s borders, security, and people.”
The president underscored Iran’s cultural and civilizational depth, stating, “We possess a wealth of experience within the heart of Iranian culture and civilization for alleviating the suffering of humanity.”
In recent days, President Pezeshkian has used his platform to share a series of messages affirming his administration’s dedication to national service and the well-being of the Iranian people, particularly in the aftermath of Israel’s recent military assault.
On June 13, Israel launched an unprovoked 12-day war, targeting Iranian nuclear sites and civilian areas in what has been widely condemned as an act of aggression. In response, Iran mounted a powerful counteroffensive, deploying drones and ballistic missiles against strategic positions in Israeli-occupied territories. The escalation led to a ceasefire brokered and officially announced on June 24.
President Pezeshkian’s recent statements reflect Iran’s dual approach of promoting peace while maintaining a vigilant stance in defending its national interests and regional stability.
