President Pezeshkian to Sign Economic, Cultural Agreements During Visit to Qatar

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Qatar will finalize agreements in the fields of economy, culture, and society during his official visit to Doha. President Pezeshkian made the statement at Mehrabad International Airport on Wednesday before departing for Qatar at the invitation of Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The president’s visit will focus on strengthening bilateral ties with Qatar, particularly in economic, social, and cultural sectors. Pezeshkian highlighted that the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) would solidify cooperation between the two neighboring nations.

In addition to bilateral discussions, President Pezeshkian will participate in the 19th edition of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit, where he is scheduled to deliver a speech on the second day of his visit. The summit, which brings together 35 Asian nations, has served as a platform for promoting regional cooperation in economic and cultural fields for over two decades.

During his speech at the ACD Summit, Pezeshkian is expected to address pressing regional issues, including Israel’s violations of international laws and its targeting of civilians. He emphasized that the international community must take firm action to halt such actions, warning that failure to do so could result in more severe consequences.

The president also noted that his discussions at the summit will focus on enhancing security cooperation among Asian countries, with the aim of fostering unity and preventing external actors from destabilizing the Middle East. He expressed hope that the talks would lead to collective efforts to maintain peace in the region.

In addition to addressing the summit, President Pezeshkian is expected to hold meetings with several high-ranking officials and leaders from participating countries to further strengthen diplomatic and economic ties.

The Asia Cooperation Dialogue Summit continues to play a vital role in fostering dialogue and collaboration across Asia, with member countries working together to implement projects and programs in various sectors.
