Beijing, The Gulf Observer: A grand reception marking the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the evening of September 30. President Xi Jinping, who is also the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended the reception and delivered a keynote speech. He noted that China has undergone profound transformations, with its national rejuvenation now set on an irreversible path.
Xi highlighted the importance of continuing China’s modernization process, a central goal for both the Party and the state. He condemned any attempts at “Taiwan independence,” affirming that national reunification is inevitable and in the best interests of all Chinese people.
The reception, attended by approximately 3,000 guests from both home and abroad, included prominent members of the CPC, senior officials, representatives of various sectors, and international diplomats. Among those in attendance were key figures such as Premier Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, and other senior officials, as well as retired Party leaders and foreign dignitaries.
