President Prabowo Conveys Indonesia’s Solidarity to Emir of Qatar Following Israeli Attack

Doha, The Gulf Observer: President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed Indonesia’s support and solidarity for Qatar during his meeting with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani at Lusail Palace in Doha on Friday, in the aftermath of the recent Israeli attack.
According to an official statement received in Jakarta, President Prabowo was personally welcomed by the Emir upon his arrival at the palace. At the outset of the meeting, the Indonesian leader conveyed his deep sympathy to the victims of the September 9 attack in Doha, expressing Indonesia’s unwavering support for Qatar’s sovereignty.
President Prabowo underlined the importance of international solidarity in responding to acts of aggression that threaten regional stability. He further emphasized the need for countries to contribute to maintaining geopolitical balance and advancing dialogue as a means of resolving global conflicts, particularly the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
“Humanity, justice, and peace must be the foundation of diplomacy to ensure a more stable future,” President Prabowo stressed, while urging the international community to speak out more firmly against all forms of aggression that harm civilians.
For his part, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani expressed appreciation for Indonesia’s solidarity and reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Indonesia, particularly in advancing global diplomacy and humanitarian initiatives.
President Prabowo arrived in Doha at 3:20 p.m. local time via Hamad International Airport, following his departure from Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase in Jakarta earlier the same day. He was accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. Upon arrival, he was received by Qatar’s Defense Minister Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Bin Hassan Bin Ali Al-Thani, Indonesian Ambassador to Qatar Ridwan Hassan, and Indonesian Defense Attaché Colonel Tengku Sony Sonatha.
