President Raisi Affirms Tehran’s Commitment to Strengthen Relations with African Nations
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi reiterated Tehran’s unwavering commitment to enhancing ties with African countries during a meeting held in Tehran on Friday with Burkinabe Prime Minister Joachim Kyelem de Tambela, held on the sidelines of the 2nd edition of the International Iran-Africa Economic Conference.
President Raisi underscored Iran’s dedication to pursuing mutual interests with African nations in all interactions, emphasizing the importance of fostering cooperation that benefits both Iran and its African counterparts.
Highlighting Iran’s eagerness to expedite the activation of a joint commission with Burkina Faso, President Raisi affirmed Tehran’s readiness to bolster bilateral relations across various sectors.
In response, Prime Minister de Tambela condemned a recent Zionist attack on an Iranian consular building in Damascus, expressing solidarity with Iran in the face of such aggression.
Acknowledging Iran’s rich civilization, de Tambela conveyed Burkina Faso’s keenness to strengthen ties with the Iranian people, recognizing their significant cultural heritage.
Furthermore, de Tambela denounced Western attempts to tarnish Iran’s global image, emphasizing Iran’s status as an independent and developing nation despite Western propaganda.
Expressing Burkina Faso’s willingness to engage in collaboration with Tehran across multiple domains, including infrastructure, information and communication technology (ICT), mining, agriculture, animal husbandry, transportation, science, culture, energy, and knowledge-based technology, de Tambela affirmed his country’s commitment to fostering robust bilateral relations with Iran.
