President Serdar Berdimuhamedov Receives Kazakh Deputy PM Galymzhan Koishybayev in Ashgabat

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday received Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Government Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galymzhan Koishybayev, who was on an official visit to Ashgabat.
At the outset of the meeting, Galymzhan Koishybayev expressed gratitude to President Berdimuhamedov for the warm reception and conveyed cordial greetings and best wishes from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan to the Head of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
President Berdimuhamedov warmly welcomed the distinguished guest, extending his best regards to President Tokayev, and underscored Turkmenistan’s commitment to deepening its partnership with Kazakhstan. He highlighted that bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations are steadily advancing across political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The Turkmen leader emphasized that regular high-level contacts serve as a vital mechanism for determining the strategic direction of bilateral cooperation, reaffirming Turkmenistan’s readiness to further strengthen its close collaboration with Kazakhstan.
In response, Deputy Prime Minister Koishybayev noted that Kazakhstan greatly values its friendly and historically close relations with Turkmenistan. He praised Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality, describing it as a significant factor in promoting peace and sustainable development throughout the region.
During the talks, both sides identified trade and economic cooperation as a key component of intergovernmental dialogue. They also discussed promising areas for collaboration, including digitalization, infrastructure development, innovation, green economy initiatives, and environmental protection.
Particular attention was given to enhancing cultural and humanitarian ties, with both parties recognizing the crucial role played by the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation in fostering these areas.
In conclusion, President Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the visit of Deputy Prime Minister Galymzhan Koishybayev would inject new momentum into the long-term and mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, wishing the visiting delegation success in their official engagements.
