President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Pay State Visit to France

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: At the invitation of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will pay a state visit to France from March 11 to 13, 2025. This high-level visit will include a series of negotiations and events aimed at strengthening and expanding bilateral relations between the two countries.

During his visit to Paris, President Mirziyoyev is scheduled to meet with French officials and business leaders to discuss key areas of mutual interest. The primary focus will be on fostering closer cooperation in trade, economic development, investment, and finance, as well as advancing joint projects with France’s leading companies and enterprises.

A range of agreements between the governments and relevant agencies is expected to be signed following the summit, marking a significant step forward in Uzbekistan–France relations.

In addition, President Mirziyoyev will engage with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay to discuss preparations for the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which is set to take place in Samarkand later this autumn.

Ahead of the official visit, a number of significant events have already been organized. On March 1, a bust honoring the great scholar Abu Rayhan Beruni was unveiled at the Uranoscope Observatory in Gretz-Armainvilliers, highlighting the historical ties between the two nations.

Furthermore, forums and conferences dedicated to various sectors, including healthcare, science and education, culture, tourism, and business, are currently underway in Paris. Joint business events will also be held in Toulouse, Lyon, and Nice, further solidifying the growing partnership between Uzbekistan and France.

This visit underscores the deepening ties between the two countries and reflects a shared commitment to advancing cooperation across multiple sectors of mutual interest.
