President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Receives Qatari PM in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, today received His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi.
At the outset of the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, along with his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the UAE. In return, President Sheikh Mohamed extended his warm regards and best wishes to Sheikh Tamim and the people of Qatar for further development and prosperity.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the strong fraternal ties and cooperative relations between the UAE and Qatar, focusing on enhancing mutual interests and fostering cooperation to benefit the peoples of both nations. The discussions also centered on reinforcing security and stability in the region, exploring ways to advance joint efforts on regional matters.
The two sides exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues of shared concern. They emphasized the critical importance of intensifying efforts to achieve a ceasefire and de-escalation in the Middle East, while also working to prevent the expansion of conflict, ensuring the protection of regional security and stability.
The meeting was attended by several prominent UAE officials, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor; His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment; and other senior officials.
Also in attendance were members of the Qatari delegation, including Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and other high-ranking Qatari officials.
Earlier in the day, the Qatari Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation arrived at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi, where they were warmly received by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The meeting between President Sheikh Mohamed and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed underscored the commitment of both nations to continue strengthening their bilateral relations and working together to ensure peace and stability in the region.
