Havana, The Gulf Observer: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President To Lam, accompanied by his spouse and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, laid a wreath at the monument of Cuban national hero José Martí in Havana. The solemn event marked the beginning of President To Lam’s state visit to Cuba, demonstrating the deep-rooted solidarity and friendship between the two nations.

Roberto Morales Ojeda, Politburo member and permanent member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee, along with leaders from various Cuban ministries and sectors, joined the Vietnamese delegation at the ceremony. The participants observed a minute of silence in honor of José Martí, whose legacy of revolutionary ideals and international solidarity laid the groundwork for the enduring friendship between Vietnam and Cuba that began in the late 19th century.

President To Lam and his delegation arrived in Havana on the evening of September 25, embarking on a state visit at the invitation of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and his spouse.
