President Tokayev Announces Plans for New Cancer Centre in Atyrau
Astana, The Gulf Observer: During the III session of the National Kurultay in Atyrau today, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev revealed plans for the construction of a new cancer centre in Atyrau next year, according to reports of media.
President Tokayev reiterated that it was his directive to establish the cancer center in Atyrau, acknowledging previous delays due to financial constraints. However, he assured that the project will proceed next year, with funds secured from subsoil users.
Furthermore, President Tokayev disclosed that a new radiotherapy unit will be operational by the end of the year, enhancing the region’s medical infrastructure.
Expressing gratitude to residents and companies for their support in realizing these initiatives, President Tokayev emphasized the importance of enhancing healthcare facilities in the region.
He also highlighted upcoming developments, including the commissioning of outpatient clinics, a rehabilitation center, and various other social facilities within the region by the end of the year.
