President Tokayev Meets IACA President Pamela Harris to Strengthen Judicial Cooperation

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Pamela Harris, President of the International Association for Court Administration (IACA), to discuss judicial reforms and cooperation, the Akorda press service reported.
President Tokayev congratulated Harris on her election to the prestigious position and expressed confidence that her leadership would enhance the organization’s effectiveness. He underscored the critical role of judicial system reforms in building a law-governed state.
“We are implementing significant reforms to promote law and order in Kazakhstan. The rule of law must become a reality, as it is essential for our country’s stability and prosperity. Therefore, I look forward to further cooperation between IACA and Kazakhstan’s judicial system,” Tokayev stated.
Harris commended Kazakhstan’s judicial reforms and affirmed IACA’s commitment to strengthening collaboration. She highlighted the country’s decision to separate the powers of the Court Administration and the Supreme Court as a model of global best practices. She also noted the active participation of Kazakhstan’s judicial administration in IACA’s initiatives.
The discussions focused on key judicial reforms, particularly expanding cooperation between judicial authorities and exploring the use of digital solutions and artificial intelligence in legal proceedings. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing Kazakhstan’s legal framework and fostering international judicial partnerships.
