President Tokayev meets with Kazakhtelecom Board Chairman
Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev recently held a strategic meeting with Kazakhtelecom Board Chairman Kuanyshbek Yessekeev, as reported by the News Agency.
During the meeting, President Tokayev was provided with comprehensive insights into the achievements of the Kazakhtelecom group of companies throughout 2023. Additionally, the President was briefed on the ambitious plans outlined for the upcoming period.
A major highlight of the discussion centered on the progress made in realizing President Tokayev’s directives aimed at expediting the implementation of the 5G network by the close of 2025. Yessekeev informed the President that a meticulous plan had been devised, involving the construction of over seven thousand base stations. Notably, Kazakhtelecom stands out as the first and currently the sole company to initiate the operational use of 5G technology on an industrial scale.
