President Tokayev Meets with Maltese Minister Ian Borg
Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan held a meeting with Ian Borg, the Maltese Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade, according to a report from Akorda.
The discussions with Minister Borg, who also serves as the OSCE Chair-in-Office, focused on current issues on the bilateral agenda and the interaction within the OSCE framework.
President Tokayev highlighted the OSCE’s phased actions across all three dimensions in the region and beyond, especially in light of the current security challenges. He reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to close cooperation with all parties to achieve the objectives outlined in the Astana Declaration, adopted at the OSCE Summit in 2010.
“We are ready to make efforts to achieve these noble goals and continue to work jointly with Malta as part of its OSCE presidency to ensure comprehensive and cooperation-based security,” stated President Tokayev.
The Kazakh President also conveyed warm wishes to Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, and expressed a strong desire to enhance bilateral cooperation and invigorate Kazakh-Maltese relations.
