President Tokayev Meets with U.S. Congress Member Carol Miller to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received U.S. Congress member Carol Miller today, as reported by the Akorda press service. The meeting underscored the commitment of Kazakhstan and the United States to further enhancing bilateral relations across various strategic sectors.

President Tokayev emphasized the significance of the meeting, noting that it would serve as a catalyst for deepening cooperation between the two nations. He highlighted that since Kazakhstan gained independence, the United States has been a steadfast and reliable partner.

The Kazakh leader reflected on the substantial progress achieved in key areas such as regional and international security, nuclear non-proliferation, and trade-economic and investment cooperation. He pointed out that trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the United States continues to show steady growth, surpassing the $4 billion mark.

Congress member Carol Miller expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to maintaining a constructive and fruitful dialogue with Kazakhstan.

During the discussions, both parties addressed priority areas of bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on the implementation of energy and infrastructure projects, the advancement of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and the expansion of transport and logistics networks linking the two countries.

Additionally, President Tokayev and Congress member Miller exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues, further reinforcing the strong diplomatic ties between Kazakhstan and the United States.
