President Tokayev Set to Undertake Official Diplomatic Tour to Italy and Vatican

Astana, The Gulf Observer: The esteemed Head of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, is scheduled to embark on an official visit to Italy and the Vatican from January 18 to January 19, 2024, according to the reports of Akorda. This diplomatic mission underscores the commitment of the Kazakh government to strengthen bilateral ties, foster mutual cooperation, and engage in constructive dialogue with these distinguished European counterparts. The visit is poised to address a spectrum of strategic issues, spanning political, economic, and cultural dimensions, thereby contributing to the enhancement of diplomatic relations and the promotion of shared interests between Kazakhstan, Italy, and the Vatican.
During the inaugural day of his official visit, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is scheduled to engage in substantive discussions with the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, and hold deliberations with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, further solidifying diplomatic ties and fostering meaningful dialogue between Kazakhstan and Italy.
The Kazakh President is expected to take part the Kazakhstan-Italy investment roundtable and hold meetings with heads of a number of Italian companies.
Pope Francis is to hold an audience with the Kazakh President on January 19 in Vatican.
In addition, the Kazakh leader is to visit the FAO and WFP headquarters.
