Prime Minister Chính Attends Rehearsal for Opening of First Spring Fair 2026

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính attended the general rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the first Spring Fair 2026 at the Việtnam Exposition Centre (VEC) in Đông Anh Commune on Sunday afternoon.
The event was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Bùi Thanh Sơn, Head of the Steering Committee for National Fairs; Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Trương Thanh Hoài; and representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and the Hànội People’s Committee.
By Sunday afternoon, preparations for the fair had largely been completed, with goods delivered to exhibition booths and several booths more than 90 percent finished, ready for the official opening ceremony scheduled for Monday morning.
In the central area designated for exhibitions, promotion, and networking activities, booth frameworks have been fully installed, while decorations, lighting, sound systems, the main stage, and the check-in area are being finalized. The fairground is gradually taking shape with a strong spring-themed design, creating a vibrant atmosphere to welcome visitors.
According to the organizing committee, construction teams are adopting a phased implementation approach, simultaneously erecting structures and completing technical systems to ensure progress, safety, and quality. The main stage for the opening ceremony and artistic performances has been basically completed, with LED screens installed and undergoing trial runs ahead of the final rehearsal. Art units are also conducting rehearsals in preparation for the opening programme.
In the exhibition areas featuring OCOP products, regional specialties, and key agricultural goods, booths are becoming clearly defined. Many localities have assigned officials to directly supervise booth layouts and coordinate with designers to ensure strong brand identity and the representation of local cultural elements.
The “Prosperous Spring” section, implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, showcases products from major branded enterprises, while the “Vietnamese Agricultural Products – Spreading the Colours of Spring” section, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, has rapidly filled its booths with goods supported by unified construction and decoration. The “Springtime in the Homeland – Products from around the World” section is also nearing completion, promising an engaging visual display of regional specialties.
The opening ceremony of the first Spring Fair 2026 will take place at 9:00 a.m. on February 2, featuring artistic performances by renowned Vietnamese singers, including Mỹ Linh, Noo Phước Thịnh, Đông Nhi, Bảo Trâm, and Mỹ Anh.
The first Spring Fair 2026, themed “Connecting Prosperity – Welcoming a Glorious Spring,” is a large-scale national trade promotion event directed by the Government, chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and organized in coordination with ministries, sectors, and local authorities.
Held from February 2 to 13 at the Việt Nam Exposition Centre, the fair is a key highlight in a series of activities aimed at stimulating consumer demand, developing the domestic market, and promoting Vietnamese brands during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
