Prime Minister of Qatar Holds Talks with Palestinian Counterpart

Doha, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani engaged in discussions with HE Dr. Muhammad Mustafa, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine, during his ongoing visit to Qatar on April 30, 2024.

The meeting provided an opportunity to assess the bilateral relations between the two nations and deliberate on the recent developments concerning the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories. Of particular focus was the imperative of reinforcing regional and international endeavors aimed at securing an immediate ceasefire and facilitating the unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid into all areas of the Strip.

HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani reiterated the unwavering support of the State of Qatar for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, emphasizing their foremost entitlement to establish an independent state along the borders of 1967, with East Jerusalem designated as its capital.

The deliberations underscored Qatar’s commitment to advocating for the rights and aspirations of the Palestinian people on the international stage, as well as its dedication to fostering peace and stability in the region.
