Qatar participates in meeting of Arab Counter-Terrorism Experts Group

Cairo, The Gulf Observer: Qatar, represented by a delegation from the Ministry of Interior, participated in the 32nd meeting of the Arab Counter-Terrorism Experts Group, which kicked off on Wednesday at the General Secretariat of the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.

The League of Arab States said in a statement that the meeting will be held over two days with the participation of representatives of the authorities concerned with combating terrorism in the Arab countries, the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, at the invitation of the General Secretariat of the Arab League (Legal Affairs Sector – Department of Legal Affairs), and the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.

The meeting deals with following up the measures taken to implement previous recommendations in the field of combating terrorism, in addition to discussing strengthening cooperation with the United Nations, and international and regional organizations concerned with combating terrorism and organized crime.

This comes the day after the second meeting of the technical team for documenting experiences in the field of combating terrorism, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
