Samarkand hosts a conference on reproductive health
Samarkand, The Gulf Observer: Samarkand hosted a Scientific-Practical Conference on Reproductive health in Uzbekistan.
It is attended by specialists from all regions of Uzbekistan, as well as leading foreign scientists in obstetrics, gynecology, perinatology, reproductive medicine, and molecular genetic diagnostics from more than 10 countries, in particular Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Israel, Italy , the United Kingdom, France, China, Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan.
The forum is organized by the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, the State Institution “Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology”, Samarkand Regional Perinatal Center.
Head of the Maternal and Child Health Protection Department of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan Ikrom Amonov noted that a healthy mother and a healthy child are the key to the prosperity of the nation.
“In this regard, it is necessary to strengthen and develop, to master and to introduce new technologies and diagnostic methods into medical practice, equip medical institutions with the latest equipment in accordance with the requirements of the time, and improve the quality of diagnostic services provided in obstetrics, gynecology, and perinatology”, Mr. Amonov noted.
At the conference, colleagues from different countries discuss innovations and experience in domestic and international reproductive medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, and perinatology. In total, the program included more than 100 reports. Among them are the effective protection of motherhood and childhood, modern approaches to the management of pregnancy in women with somatic diseases, critical situations in obstetrics and the importance of interdisciplinary communications for their resolution, oncogynecological diseases, innovations in the surgical treatment of diseases of the reproductive system, and others.
At the conference, two cooperation agreements were signed between the Republican Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federal State Budgetary Institution “National Medical Research Center named after VA Almazov” and the State Educational Institution “Institute of Postgraduate Education in Healthcare of the Republic of Tajikistan”.
