‘Sawt Al-Azhar’ magazine highlights Bahrain’s King pivotal role in promoting global peace
Cairo, The Gulf Observer: The “Sawt Al-Azhar” (Voice of Al-Azhar) magazine focused in its latest edition, on “The East and The West for Human Coexistence” forum, to be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain on November 4-5.
Held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the forum will be attended by His Holiness Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church, and His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, Shaikh Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb, the Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, in addition to more than 200 global faith leaders, and renowned scholars and media personalities.
In a special press report devoted to the global event, titled “The Ship of Human Fraternity Docks at a New Station on Bahraini Land,” the magazine indicated that the organisation of this forum is within the framework of Bahrain’s keenness and strategic policy to build bridges of dialogue among leaders of religions, sects and symbols of thought, culture and media, in cooperation with the Al-Azhar, the Catholic Church, the Muslim Council of Elders, the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, and a number of international institutions concerned with dialogue, human coexistence and tolerance.
The magazine affirmed that HM the King has established the Kingdom’s firm approach to peaceful coexistence, dialogue and openness to the world with all its religions, sects, cultures and ethnicities without discrimination or intolerance.
It confirmed that HM King Hamad had laid down the foundations that represent the essence of the principles of the internal and foreign policy of the Kingdom, which are based on guaranteeing the right of religious belief, the practice of worship, and living on the land of Bahrain in peace, security, love and respect, adding that Bahrain has made great efforts to devote and build on these principles as an outcome of the comprehensive development process that was launched by HM the King.
The magazine also said that thanks to HM the King’s efforts and wise vision, the Kingdom today enjoys a high degree of appreciation, respect and international praise for its endeavours to promote peaceful coexistence among peoples, in a way that would contribute to the advancement of societies and the dissemination of a culture of peace in the world.
