Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: On July 8, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Aleksandr Dyukov, Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprom Neft, to discuss the expansion of strategic cooperation in the oil and gas sector.

The meeting centered on advancing mutually beneficial collaboration with the Russian energy giant in line with the established bilateral roadmap. Both sides reviewed prospective plans aimed at deepening cooperation across several key areas of the energy industry.

Special focus was placed on the implementation of joint projects in geological exploration and the development of complex oil and gas fields. The discussion also covered measures to accelerate the digitalization of the energy sector and enhance technological innovation.

In addition, President Mirziyoyev and Mr. Dyukov emphasized the importance of training highly qualified specialists to meet the evolving needs of the oil and gas industry, underscoring the value of capacity building and knowledge exchange in supporting long-term energy cooperation.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of Uzbekistan and Gazprom Neft to strengthening their partnership through innovation, sustainable development, and the pursuit of shared energy goals.
