Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and President El-Sisi Attend Military Academy Graduation Ceremony in Egypt
Cairo, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt today attended the graduation ceremony of Egypt’s military academy and colleges. This event took place as part of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s working visit to Egypt.
Upon their arrival at the Egyptian Military Academy, Sheikh Mohamed and President El-Sisi were greeted by Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production; Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces; and several commanders of the Egyptian military branches. Also present was Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem, Director of the Egyptian Military Academy.
The two leaders were welcomed with a guard of honour, followed by the national anthems of both the UAE and Egypt. A flag-raising ceremony was held, with helicopters flying overhead, displaying the flags of the UAE, Egypt, and the different branches of the Egyptian armed forces.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed signed the VIP guestbook, expressing his pleasure at attending the ceremony alongside President El-Sisi, and extending his best wishes for Egypt’s continued progress and prosperity.
The ceremony was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, along with several members of the delegation accompanying His Highness during the visit.
