Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Announces Cabinet Changes

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has announced a cabinet reshuffle in the United Arab Emirates.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid confirmed the appointment of Ahmed Al Sayegh as the new Minister of Health and Prevention, while extending appreciation to AbdulRahman bin Mohamed Al Owais for his dedicated service as Minister of Health over the past years. Al Owais will continue to serve in the UAE Cabinet as Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs.
In his remarks, Sheikh Mohammed praised the contributions of Al Owais to the federal healthcare system, noting that his leadership had enabled significant advancements in the sector. He wished both ministers success in fulfilling their national responsibilities and extended best wishes to all federal teams across the country.
Ahmed Al Sayegh previously served as Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since September 2018, where he led the Ministry’s economic and commercial portfolio, advancing the UAE’s diversification strategy and strengthening ties with Asian and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) nations.
Alongside his ministerial duties, Al Sayegh holds several high-level positions, including membership of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Board Member of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), Vice Chairman of Emirates Nature–WWF, and Co-Chair of the UAE–UK Business Council.
His earlier leadership roles include serving as Chairman of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Aldar Properties, and Masdar, as well as board positions with Etihad Airways Group, Mubadala Investment Company, and First Gulf Bank. He also held senior roles at ADNOC and Abu Dhabi Investment Company.
Al Sayegh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lewis & Clark College in the United States.
