Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Concludes UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025 in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, attended the final day of the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025, held in Abu Dhabi from November 4 to 6. The high-level event brought together more than 500 government officials from across the country and witnessed the launch of landmark national initiatives to drive comprehensive transformations in the UAE’s economic and social development journey.
The three-day gathering featured over 40 sessions and briefings addressing key national priorities and future-oriented strategies.
In his remarks, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, “Today, we concluded the UAE Government Annual Meetings, a gathering defined by shared visions, goals, and challenges. We come together as one national team, representing all emirates under one president, one flag, and one united nation. It is where we take pride in our achievements, chart our course for the future, and unify our efforts to build a better life for the people in the UAE.”
He reaffirmed that under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the nation continues to uphold its founding principles — enhancing government performance, empowering teams with the tools needed to implement strategic plans, and focusing on development, human well-being, national identity, and global leadership.
“The UAE is a nation that leads only with results and the satisfaction of our people,” Sheikh Mohammed said. “Our ambitions know no limits, and every achievement is a responsibility we safeguard for future generations.”
The UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025 marked a new chapter in advancing national aspirations for prosperity and sustainable development. The outcomes of this year’s edition built upon past achievements, providing a clear roadmap for the next phase of progress with citizens at the core of national priorities.
During the final day, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid witnessed the launch of several major initiatives, including the “National Family Growth Agenda 2031”, aimed at reinforcing family values as a foundation of Emirati identity, and the “Emirati National Identity Strategy”, developed in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and the National Projects Office of the Presidential Court.
He also attended the unveiling of “Unified UAE Numbers”, an AI-powered national data platform designed to provide accurate, real-time statistics to support decision-making and enhance readiness for future challenges.
The meetings also honored the “Union Teams” in recognition of their outstanding contributions to advancing the UAE’s global standing. The honored teams included the UAE Mission to the United Nations in New York, the UAE Pavilion Team for Expo 2025 Osaka, and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center Team.
Additionally, the event celebrated the winners of the second editions of the UAE Order for Culture and Creativity and the UAE AI Award, recognizing innovation and excellence across government and creative sectors.
A meeting of the Ministerial Development Council, chaired by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Council, brought together federal and local leaders to review national progress.
During a session with graduates of the UAE National Experts Programme, Sheikh Mansour launched the “UAE Experts in Artificial Intelligence Programme”, a national initiative to nurture future AI specialists.
The meetings also featured a national multi-sector tabletop exercise conducted by the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) in collaboration with the UAE Cyber Security Council. The exercise, attended in part by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, simulated complex scenarios including severe weather events and cyberattacks to enhance national readiness and inter-agency coordination.
Other highlights included the Economic Data Retreat, which convened economic, financial, and technology leaders, and the “Pulse of the Nation” forum, promoting dialogue on family affairs. The Water Acceleration Programme was also launched to prepare for the 2026 UN Water Conference to be hosted by the UAE next year.
For the first time, the meetings hosted a UAE Government & Business Dialogue for Action, linking private-sector innovation with government priorities to shape a more integrated economic future.
In a keynote session, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announced a AED 170 billion package of national transport and road projects to be completed by 2030, aimed at improving mobility and easing congestion nationwide. The AI Readiness Index was also launched to measure the preparedness of federal entities for AI adoption and leadership.
The UAE Government Media Office organized the inaugural UAE International Press Conference, which brought together more than 200 journalists and media professionals from local, regional, and international outlets.
Launched in 2017 under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Government Annual Meetings bring together the nation’s leaders, ministers, and officials to align government priorities, discuss national development goals, and unite efforts to advance the UAE’s long-term vision for the future.
