Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Marks 25 Years of The Executive Office’s Visionary Leadership and Innovation

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended a ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of The Executive Office of His Highness. Also in attendance was His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
During the ceremony, His Highness lauded The Executive Office for setting a benchmark in leadership, innovation, and excellence, crediting its efforts in realizing his vision for Dubai as a global leader in governance, economic development, and future foresight.
“For 25 years, The Executive Office has inspired teamwork and effectively implemented our development vision. Today, we witness the results of the integrated government work ecosystem overseen by The Executive Office, culminating in Dubai’s prominent global standing,” Sheikh Mohammed stated.
He described The Executive Office as “a source of exceptional ideas, an accelerator of change, and a launchpad for future-focused projects,” and affirmed its pivotal role in advancing Dubai’s strategic global vision. He called on the team to intensify efforts in accelerating the next phase of Dubai’s growth across key sectors.
His Highness toured an exhibition highlighting major strategic initiatives led by The Executive Office and viewed a commemorative video documenting its achievements since inception.
Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of The Executive Office, noted: “Guided by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s vision, The Executive Office was never a traditional entity. It was conceived as a laboratory for bold ideas and unconventional solutions that have propelled Dubai to global prominence.”
Al Gergawi added, “Over 25 years, we have transformed leadership directives into impactful action, placing innovation at the heart of governance and delivering landmark projects that reshaped Dubai’s economic and social fabric.”
He reaffirmed the Office’s commitment to adaptability and innovation in government, saying: “Our goal is for Dubai to remain the most agile city in decision-making and the most prepared for future change.”
The Executive Office, established by decree of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, operates as a strategic think tank and executive arm, conducting in-depth analysis across sectors and overseeing the implementation of leadership-driven plans. It plays a vital role in shaping Dubai’s long-term vision by advising on development, conducting scenario planning, and launching transformational projects.
Among its flagship achievements is the establishment of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) in 2004, a turning point that reinforced Dubai and the UAE’s global economic standing.
