Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: In his address during the first Plenary Cabinet Session of the Red and White Cabinet at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that true democracy is reflected in providing quality education for children and ensuring adequate health facilities for all citizens.

“The true democracy lies in the form of the best education for our children and adequate health for all people,” he stated, underscoring the government’s commitment to these essential services.

To advance educational initiatives, Prabowo directed Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Satryo Soemantri Brojonegoro, and Minister of Elementary and Secondary Education, Abdul Mu’ti, to accelerate educational projects aimed at benefiting students. He highlighted the importance of leveraging technology to enhance educational delivery and accessibility.

Addressing the health sector, Prabowo noted its critical intersection with all aspects of society and called for Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin to implement reforms that focus on resolving challenges faced by doctors and healthcare workers. “Health reform should address issues with doctors and health workers. We will have a program for that. We will discuss it later,” he added.

In addition to education and health, Prabowo urged his ministries to strive for food and energy self-sufficiency, support the Free Nutritious Meals program, and proactively address threats such as online gambling, drug trafficking, smuggling, corruption, and administrative leaks.

The President officially inaugurated his Red and White Cabinet on October 21, 2024, which comprises 48 ministers and 55 deputy ministers. From October 24 to 27, the Cabinet will participate in a ministerial briefing at the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java. This gathering aims to instill a sense of courage and heroism in the ministers, as Magelang has historical significance as a center of resistance during Indonesia’s colonial era.
