Sultan of Oman and Algerian President Hold Official Talks at Al Alam Palace
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria convened an official session of talks at Al Alam Palace today, strengthening ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
Opening the session, His Majesty the Sultan warmly welcomed President Tebboune and his accompanying delegation, expressing hopes for a productive visit that will benefit the two nations and their citizens. President Tebboune conveyed his sincere gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by His Majesty and the people of Oman.
The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, aiming to expand partnerships and investment opportunities. The leaders also exchanged views on current regional and international issues, with a shared commitment to fostering security and peace in the region.
From Oman, the meeting was attended by senior officials, including HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers; HH Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs; HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’mani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office; Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat and Head of the Mission of Honour; and Saif bin Nasser Al Bada’ei, Oman’s Ambassador to Algeria.
Representing Algeria, the delegation included Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Laaziz Faid, Minister of Finance; Mohammed Arkab, Minister of Energy and Mines; Kamal Badri, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City; Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Trade and Exports Promotion; Fazia Dahleb, Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy; and Dr. Mohammed Ali Boughazi, Algeria’s Ambassador to Oman.
