Sultan of Oman Holds Bilateral Meeting with Algerian President in Algiers

Algiers, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a bilateral meeting on Monday with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria at the Presidential Palace in Algiers.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation and discussed means of strengthening them to serve the mutual interests of their countries and peoples. They also exchanged views on a range of regional and international developments of common concern.

Following the meeting, an official session of talks was held under the joint chairmanship of His Majesty the Sultan and President Tebboune. The discussions explored opportunities for enhancing economic and investment cooperation across various sectors, with a particular focus on renewable energy, pharmaceutical industries, agriculture, marine resources, food security, and financial and logistical investments.

Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing strategic cooperation and continuing dialogue on key issues impacting the region and the wider international community.

The session was attended by senior officials from both countries. From the Omani side, attendees included His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nuamani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority; Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources; Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health; and Saif bin Nassir Al Badaai, Ambassador of Oman to Algeria.

From the Algerian side, the session was attended by several senior officials, reflecting the depth of the bilateral relationship and the shared aspiration to further develop cooperative ties between the two nations.
