Tajikistan, JICA Discuss Expanding Cooperation Across Key Sectors

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Idibek Kalandar held a meeting this week in Dushanbe with Yoshifumi Yoshikawa, Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), to discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation across a range of priority sectors, according to media reports.

During the meeting, the two sides focused on strengthening collaboration in enhancing the qualifications and professional capacity of civil servants, as well as on the implementation of investment projects aimed at improving access to safe drinking water across the country.

Discussions also covered cooperation in the development of transport and road infrastructure, alongside initiatives to support the growth of Tajikistan’s agricultural and energy sectors.

Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue and deepen cooperation in other priority areas and expressed commitment to advancing Tajikistan’s strategic development goals through sustained partnership and practical collaboration.
