Tashkent hosts international conference dedicated to Jadid movement

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Tashkent hosts an international scientific conference “Jadids: Ideas of national identity, independence, and statehood”.

The event is organized by the Public Foundation for Support and Development of National Mass Media, the State Museum of Memory of the Victims of Repression, the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Organization of Turkic States.

Government representatives, historians, literary scholars of Uzbekistan, and foreign scientists and experts are attending this international forum.

On the first day of the two-day conference, experience will be exchanged on the ideology of the Jadids, new insights in the consistent study of the goals and objectives of this movement, its contribution to the development of education and publishing, socio-political efforts in the formation of national statehood, as well as the scientific and cultural heritage of the Jadids.

On the second day of the conference, a roundtable discussion will be held with the participation of famous Uzbekistan and foreign scientists.
