Tehran Denounces U.S. Military Action in Venezuela, Backs Legitimate Government

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with his Venezuelan counterpart, Yvan Eduardo Gil Pinto, to discuss the latest developments following the recent U.S. attacks on Venezuela.
During the call, Araghchi strongly condemned the U.S. military aggression and the detention of Venezuela’s legitimately elected president and his wife. He described these actions as a clear instance of state terrorism and a blatant violation of Venezuela’s sovereignty and the national will of its people. The Foreign Minister emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran’s full support for both the Venezuelan people and their elected government.
In response, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Gil Pinto expressed appreciation for Iran’s principled stance and solidarity with Venezuela. He underscored that both the Venezuelan people and government remain committed to defending their national sovereignty and the right to self-determination against what he described as the illegal and coercive policies of the United States.
This exchange reflects Tehran’s continued diplomatic support for Caracas amid escalating tensions in the Latin American nation.
