Temperatures expected to fall to -44C in Kazakhstan
Astana, The Gulf Observer: A three day weather forecast (December 12-14) has been issued for Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.
According to the Kazhydromet National Met Office, in the next three days frosts are to linger in most Kazakh regions due to the Arctic anticyclone.
Due to fronts, snow is predicted in the east, south, and southeast of the country on December 12-13. Heavy snow is expected in the mountainous areas of the regions on December 12.
The southern and eastern regions are to brace for high wind as well as fog in the mountainous areas.
On December 12-13, night temperatures are expected at -25-38C in the northwest and center, -30-38C in the north, -40-44C in the far north and northwest, -20-38C and -32-38 (on December 14) in the east, -40-12C in certain areas, -25-30C in the south and southeast and -33-38C in the mountainous areas.
Temperatures are to rise to -5-16C in the west, -15-35 in the northwest, and -25-38C in the north at night on December 14.
