Three-Day Celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Communication University of China commenced in Beijing

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: On the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Communication University of China (CUC), the international conference titled “Dialogue and Development: Building a Global Community of Shared Future” commenced with high spirits, marking the first day of the Dialogue at the Academic Forum organized by Communication University of China in Beijing. The conference aims to bolster global collaboration, emphasizing the belief that the world is an interconnected community where nations share both common interests and responsibilities and underscores the importance of building a community where mutual benefit and collective progress take center stage.

The Opening Ceremony, moderated by Professor Li Huailiang, Dean of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future at CUC. The series of engaging and insightful sessions featured specialized sub-forums consisting of fostering ties between China and African nations and exploring opportunities for cooperation between China and Latin American countries in the pursuit of a shared future.

The third session on the Asian Sub-Forum on Building a Global Community of Shared Future, chaired by Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), spotlighted China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and its vision for inclusive prosperity across Asia. Experts discussed the BRI as a road to shared prosperity and highlighted the inclusivity embedded in China’s vision of a global community.

Notable speakers of the third session include:

1. Prof. Ahn Chinyoung, Dean of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Incheon National University, Korea, and Director of the Research Center for the Belt and Road Initiative.

2. Prof. Junichiro Kusumoto, Professor at Toyo University, Japan, and Director of the Japan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future.

3. Prof. Chin Yee Mun, Director of the Centre for Social and Policy Studies at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia.

4. Mr. Shabir Ahmed, Member of the Board of Experts at PRCCSF, Pakistan.

Experts from various countries such as Mexico, Venezuela, Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia participated and reaffirmed promoting global academic cooperation and paved the way for a future where nations work collectively toward mutual benefit and prosperity. The dialogue emerged as a pioneering academic endeavor, uniting scholars from across the globe in pursuit of a harmonious community built on shared aspirations.
