Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, held a telephone conversation on Monday with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, according to the Akorda press service.

The discussion took place in a traditionally friendly and trusting atmosphere, during which the two Heads of State reviewed the current status and future prospects of multifaceted Kazakhstan–Russia relations.

Both Presidents expressed satisfaction with the consistent implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, highlighting the steady progress in bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

The leaders positively assessed ongoing efforts to deepen cultural and humanitarian ties, emphasizing the importance of further advancing joint scientific and educational initiatives to strengthen long-term partnership between the two countries.

President Tokayev reaffirmed his invitation to President Putin to undertake a state visit to Kazakhstan.

The conversation also included an exchange of views on pressing international and regional issues, reflecting the continued close coordination between Astana and Moscow on matters of mutual interest.
