TRNC President Meets Azerbaijan–Cyprus Friendship Society Delegation in Nicosia

Nicosia., The Gulf Observer: President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Tufan Erhürman, received a delegation of the Azerbaijan–Cyprus Friendship Society, led by its Chairman Orkhan Hasanoghlu, in Nicosia.
During the meeting, Hasanoghlu briefed the TRNC president on the activities of the society, which has been operating in Northern Cyprus since 2012, including projects implemented to date and plans for the coming period.
He noted that more than 300 Azerbaijani citizens are currently engaged in official labor activities in the TRNC, contributing significantly to the development of relations between the two brotherly countries. Hasanoghlu emphasized that the Azerbaijan–Cyprus Friendship Society remains committed to strengthening cooperation in the cultural, educational, trade, and inter-university fields.
President Erhürman highlighted the positive and developing relations between Azerbaijan and the TRNC and expressed his interest in further enhancing bilateral ties. He underscored the importance of deepening relations with Azerbaijan for Northern Cyprus and revealed plans to organize Northern Cyprus Culture Days in several countries, including Azerbaijan, in the near future.
Members of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan–Cyprus Friendship Society—Rajab Rajabov, Bakhtiyar Mammadov, and Rashad Mammadov—also shared their views on expanding scientific, cultural, and social cooperation between the two sides.
