Turkish Foreign Ministry Issues Travel Warning for Lebanon Amid Deteriorating Security Conditions
Ankara, The Gulf Observer: On Sunday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a travel warning for Lebanon, advising Turkish citizens to avoid traveling to the country unless absolutely necessary. The advisory comes in response to rapidly deteriorating security conditions in the region.
In an official statement, the ministry urged Turkish citizens who are already in Lebanon to avoid the provinces of Nabatieh, South Lebanon, Bekaa, and Baalbek-Hermel. Those currently in the country are strongly encouraged to leave while commercial flights are still operational.
The ministry underscored the importance of staying informed through updates available on the official websites and social media accounts of both the ministry and the Turkish embassy in Beirut.
“The safety and security of our citizens are our top priority,” the statement read. “We urge all Turkish citizens to heed this warning and take necessary precautions.”
This advisory reflects the escalating tensions and security risks in Lebanon, prompting the Turkish government to take proactive measures to ensure the safety of its nationals.
