Turkish VP Cevdet Yılmaz Calls on Citizens to Join Nationwide “Green Homeland Mobilization”

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz on Sunday called on citizens across the country to actively participate in the nationwide afforestation campaign launched under the banner of “Green Homeland Mobilization.”
In a post shared on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal, Yılmaz underscored Türkiye’s significant environmental achievements, noting that the country is among the few in the world to have increased its forest cover over the past 23 years.
The Vice President explained that the campaign aims to plant millions of saplings across all 81 provinces, aligning with the nation’s broader environmental and sustainability vision for the “Century of Türkiye.”
Yılmaz also invited citizens to sponsor saplings through the campaign’s official website, encouraging them to take part in building a greener and more sustainable future.
“Every sapling planted is a legacy for the generations to come,” he said, emphasizing that each participant can leave their mark on the ‘Green Homeland’ and contribute to Türkiye’s long-term environmental goals.
The “Green Homeland Mobilization” reflects the Turkish government’s ongoing commitment to combating climate change, promoting reforestation, and fostering public participation in environmental protection initiatives nationwide.
