Ankara, The Gulf Observer: In a formal announcement on Friday, Oncu Keceli, the spokesperson for Türkiye’s Foreign Ministry, declared that the country is closely monitoring the genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Keceli asserted that Türkiye is convinced that, “sooner or later, all members of the Israeli government will be brought to justice for the crimes they are committing in Gaza.”

Expressing concern over the situation in the besieged Palestinian enclave, Keceli urged the Israeli government to halt what he described as the “indiscriminate, systematic, and deliberate massacre of Palestinians.” The statement comes in response to recent remarks by Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, who accused Turkish President Erdogan in a social media post, accompanied by a photo depicting a meeting between President Erdogan and Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh.

Türkiye’s stance on the matter reflects its commitment to pursuing justice through international channels, specifically the International Court of Justice. The statement underscores the gravity with which Türkiye views the actions of the Israeli government in Gaza, emphasizing the need for accountability in the face of alleged crimes.

The diplomatic exchange follows a series of tensions between Türkiye and Israel, highlighting the complex and sensitive nature of the geopolitical dynamics in the Middle East. The international community continues to observe these developments closely as efforts to address the situation in Gaza unfold at the global legal stage.
