Turkmen President Meets with Monaco’s Joel Bouzou to Strengthen Sports Cooperation

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan met with Joel Bouzou, the Adviser to the Prince of Monaco, founder, and president of the “Peace and Sport” organization, as part of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse celebrations.

The meeting highlighted the importance of horse racing, a key element of Turkmenistan’s heritage, and its significance in global culture and the centuries-old tradition of horse breeding. President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the symbolic value of the holiday, marking the pivotal role of racehorses in world history.

Joel Bouzou, a recognized figure in global sports, expressed his eagerness to strengthen sports cooperation between Monaco and Turkmenistan. The discussion also touched upon the recent visit of Oguljahan Atabayeva, the Vice President for Medical Activities at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation, to the Principality of Monaco. Both sides described the visit as constructive and beneficial for fostering future collaboration.

The two leaders expressed confidence that the outcomes of these talks will elevate the bilateral relationship, giving it new depth and direction, particularly in sports and humanitarian initiatives.
