Turkmen, Saudi Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Cooperation, Upcoming Peace and Trust Forum

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: A telephone conversation was held on November 26, 2025, between Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the two sides praised the current level of interstate relations, noting the steady strengthening of cooperation driven by regular and reliable political dialogue at the highest level.

The ministers held detailed discussions on key aspects of the Turkmen-Saudi agenda, covering political cooperation, trade and economic ties, and cultural and humanitarian interaction.

Both sides underscored the importance of further enhancing collaboration within multilateral regional and international platforms, including the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

A central focus of the conversation was the ongoing preparation for the International Forum of Peace and Trust, scheduled to take place on 12 December in Ashgabat. The ministers emphasized the significance of the event and reaffirmed their readiness to work closely to ensure its success.

The call concluded with both foreign ministers expressing commitment to deepening bilateral engagement and expanding joint initiatives across priority areas.
