Turkmenistan and Kenya Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Ties Ahead of Ashgabat Peace and Trust Forum

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation on Tuesday with Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing multilateral engagement.
According to Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening Turkmenistan–Kenya relations, emphasizing the importance of strengthening political dialogue and expanding cooperation across economic, cultural, and humanitarian domains.
The two foreign ministers also reviewed ongoing collaboration within international organizations, particularly the United Nations, and underlined the value of coordinated efforts in addressing global and regional challenges.
During the conversation, Meredov and Mudavadi exchanged views on preparations for the upcoming International Forum on Peace and Trust, scheduled to take place on 12 December in Ashgabat. The high-level gathering will be dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s status of permanent neutrality, and the International Day of Neutrality.
Both sides expressed confidence that the event will contribute to promoting dialogue, mutual understanding, and a culture of peace on the global stage.
