Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: A high-level meeting between the State Concern Turkmengaz and the Turkish energy company BOTAŞ, led by Director General Abdulvahid Fidani, was held in Ashgabat to discuss enhanced collaboration in the gas industry. The discussions focused on bolstering Turkmenistan’s export potential and expanding energy cooperation between the two nations, according to TDH reports.

The meeting highlighted the strategic importance of initiatives spearheaded by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. These efforts aim to diversify Turkmenistan’s fuel and energy complex while strengthening international partnerships. Türkiye, recognized as one of Turkmenistan’s primary trade and economic partners, plays a pivotal role in advancing these objectives.

Earlier this year, in March, both nations signed key agreements to enhance collaboration in the oil and gas sectors, further solidifying their energy ties.

The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to fostering a mutually beneficial partnership, emphasizing the shared goal of enhancing cooperation in the gas industry for the prosperity of both nations.
